Common questions
Everything you need to know about entering, draws, prizes and your account.
Entering & tickets
How many tickets can I buy?
Every competition has a per-person limit, and the entry form won't let you take more than yours. Your ticket numbers are confirmed in your account and in your order email as soon as your entry is placed.
Will I get a confirmation email?
Yes. Your order confirmation includes your ticket number(s). If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
How do I see my ticket numbers?
Log in and visit My Entries. They're also listed in your order confirmation email.
What is the skill question?
UK law requires a skill question for paid-entry prize competitions. It's a straightforward question that everyone can answer, and it isn't a filter or a factor in your ticket allocation.
Draws & verification
Is it really fair?
Every draw runs on its scheduled date, and the full ticket list is locked before it begins, so no result can be altered once entries close. Each draw has its own page showing exactly what was published and when.
When do draws take place?
Each competition page shows its exact close date and a live countdown. Draws run on that schedule; we don't extend or delay them.
What happens if a competition doesn't sell out?
Every draw runs on its scheduled close date regardless of how many tickets have sold. We never extend draw dates.
How can I verify the result myself?
Open any draw from the Results page. It shows the ticket list that was published before entries closed, the winning number, and a downloadable record, so you can confirm for yourself that the winner came from the list that already existed before the draw ran.
Free entry
How does free entry work?
You can enter any draw free of charge by post. Write your name, address, date of birth, email address and the draw you're entering on a postcard or piece of paper, then post it to the address shown on the free entry page. You'll receive a real ticket number in the same draw. Your card must reach us at least 48 hours before the draw closes to be entered; a card that arrives later is not entered.
Do postal entries have the same odds as paid entries?
Yes. Free-entry tickets go into the exact same draw as paid tickets. There's no separate free-entry draw and the odds are identical.
Do I need an account to enter free by post?
Yes, a free account is needed so we can match your postal entry to a ticket and contact you if you win.
Prizes & winning
What happens if I don't win?
If your entry doesn't win, it doesn't win a prize, and nothing is returned for the loss. Coins are earned separately, on every ticket you buy, and are never bought. Spend them in the arcade, the one place they go.
Can I take cash instead of the prize?
Yes, most prizes carry a cash alternative, which is shown clearly on each competition page. The cash amount goes into your Comp Hub account. Cash goes out every Friday, with no fee and no minimum. A first payout waits for our identity check.
Is there always a cash alternative?
Most competitions offer one. A small number of cash competitions may not include an additional cash alternative; check the individual competition page for details.
How will I be notified if I win?
We'll contact you by email and phone using the details on your account. Make sure your contact details are up to date so we can reach you promptly after the draw.
How long does it take to receive a prize?
We'll confirm delivery or handover arrangements with you directly after the draw. Timing varies by prize type and will be agreed with you personally.
Coins & the arcade
What are coins?
Hub Coins are the platform's own play currency. You get them on every ticket you buy and by turning up. They only go one way: in from tickets and visits, and out on arcade plays. They are never bought and never paid out as cash.
What is an arcade game?
An arcade game is an instant-win competition with a game's face on it. Same idea as a draw, instant answer: your ticket either matches a winning number or it doesn't, and you know the moment you get it. The wheel, the foil, the case? Pure theatre over a result that already exists. A play costs coins and nothing else. An arcade game never takes money.
How is an arcade game's result decided?
Every outcome in the arcade is sealed before anyone can touch it. The game's results are drawn and sealed when a machine goes live. Once the first ticket exists, nothing can change what was already decided. Your play only checks your number against a result that existed before you arrived.
Can coins ever become pounds?
No, and that is structure rather than policy. There is no rate, no request and no exception: nothing on this platform turns a coin back into a pound. Coins are gifted in and only ever go out as arcade plays, which is why the arcade can be as generous as it is.
What does Lock-in mean?
Lock-in is where a game goes when it stops taking new players. It's closed to new players, but if you joined before it closed, you can keep playing until it closes or until every prize has been won, whichever comes first. Nothing is held back, and the chance on each play hasn't changed. When these games are gone, they're gone — but nothing is kept back: whatever nobody wins here gets added to new games for everyone to play.
Account & payments
Who can enter?
You must be 18 or over and a UK resident. Age is verified at the account level and a winner's identity is confirmed before any prize is paid.
Can I enter from outside the UK?
No. Comp Hub is open to UK residents only, aged 18 or over.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards. We don't accept American Express. You can also enter any draw free by post, at the same odds.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Ticket purchases are non-refundable once an entry is confirmed. If you believe there has been an error with your order, contact us through the complaints form and we'll look into it.
